Charles Ross Returns To Post For 'Star Wars' Solo Show
By: Faetra Petillo
The man, the myth, the trilogy returns! Solo performer Charles Ross returns to San Francisco's Post Street Theatre for 19 performances only (September 25 - October 12) with his wildly popular hit show One Man Star Wars Trilogy. Tickets are on sale now at the Post Street Theatre box office, by phone at 415-771-6900 and at ticketmaster.com.
One Man Star Wars Trilogy is a hilarious, high energy, nonstop blast through the original Star Wars trilogy, but with one catch: there's only one cast member, Charles Ross, a writer and solo performer who spent way too much of his childhood in a galaxy far, far away. Ross plays all the characters, recreates the effects, sings the music, flies the ships, and fights both sides of the light saber battles, making for a side-splitting evening.Charles Ross Ross (pictured right) has performed his one-man tour de force across the globe, from Toronto to Edinburgh, Dublin to Dubai, to San Francisco, where it won over both critics and Jedi Knights when it first played the Post Street Theatre in March 2007. The San Francisco Chronicle called the show "irresistible...fast-paced, action-packed and very funny" while the Contra Costa Times called One Man Star Wars Trilogy a "high-energy parody" that "brings out the 'Star Wars' fan in all of us."
