BROADWAY BARES San Francisco Raises Record-Breaking $177,787
This was the ninth edition of the San Francisco fundraiser. It will return for its 10th year in 2027.
Broadway Bares San Francisco was presented at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco, and raised a record-breaking $177,787 in support of the Richmond/Ermet Aid Foundation and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. This was the ninth edition of the San Francisco fundraiser.
The event was hosted by RuPaul’s Drag Race's Irene the Alien, and featured large-scale dance numbers, high-energy fundraising moments, and a cast of Bay Area performers. Broadway Bares SF will return in 2027 for its 10th edition.
Broadway Bares: License to Strip, an espionage-inspired edition of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS’ annual event, will return to NYC’s Hammerstein Ballroom, on Sunday, June 21, 2026, in two performances at 9:30 pm and midnight.
Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, the philanthropic heart of Broadway, is one of the nation’s leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fundraising and grant-making organizations. By drawing upon the talents, resources and generosity of the American theater community, since 1988 Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS has awarded more than $300 million for essential services for people with HIV/AIDS and other critical illnesses across the United States.
