Acclaimed Vocalist Todd Murray To Perform At Feinstein's At The Nikko, 8/23 Acclaimed vocalist Todd Murray will make his Feinstein's at the Nikko debut on Thursday, August 23 at 8 p.m. Joined by renowned pianist and composer Quinn Johnson, Murray will perform an evening of old and new American standards, including songs by Cole Porter, Bing Crosby, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Sade, and more. Declared "the real deal," and "impeccable," by Stephen Holden of the New York Times, and hailed "the best male vocalist living today" by Paul Richards of WHLI Radio's "The Morning Show," Todd Murray's smooth bass baritone has been heard from Japan to Switzerland and in clubs and artist series all over the United States. His latest show CROON garnered much praise ("I felt privileged to listen," Rex Reed of the New York Observer) including "Best Male Cabaret Show" and "Best Male Vocalist 2015" by BroadwayWorld.com, and most recently awarded "The Margaret Whiting Award" at the Mabel Mercer Cabaret Convention in 2016.

Mr. Murray has recorded three critically acclaimed CD's-"When I Sing Low," "Stardust and Swing," and "Croon," all of which are available on iTunes and his website. His musical theater career has taken him from Off-Broadway to a national tour of The Secret Garden, to regional houses, and University and concert series. Todd's "trembling sensitivity" (New York Times) is why he is often called "the songwriter's dream" (Cabaret Scenes magazine). He has been nominated three times by the MAC organization including Best New Song for "And I'm Leaving Today," which he penned along with well-known accompanist and writer Alex Rybeck. He has two new Christmas songs that he wrote and performed to be released nationally this year! Watch for "I'm Gettin' Into the Swing of Christmas" and "Let's Hear It For Santa Claus." Mr. Murray can also be seen on the symphony stage singing The American Songbook or with a big band in Los Angeles.

Pianist and composer Quinn Johnson has lived in four different countries on three different continents, and has played music from around the world with Cuban, Brazilian, Persian, African, Middle Eastern and Chinese artists. Some of those he has had the pleasure of working with include Rod Stewart, Diana Ross, Rita Coolidge, Martin Short, Jack Sheldon, Diane Schuur, Tom Scott, Richard Carpenter, Judith Hill, Poncho Sanchez, Flora Purim, Wayne Brady, John Densmore (of The Doors), Elba Ramalho, Down to the Bone, Jerry Seinfeld, Airto Moreira, Francisco Aguabella, Christopher Cross, and Dancing with the Stars (US/Canada tour).

Quinn is currently the music director/pianist for Steve Tyrell, a position he has had for the last 15 years. He is also the piano/keyboardist for the various Clare Fischer bands, one of which received the 2013 Grammy for Best Latin Jazz Album.

In December 2013, Quinn was music director/arranger for the Mike Stoller 80th Birthday Celebration in New York, which was MC?d by Paul Schaffer, directed by Randy Johnson, and included Dee Dee Bridgewater, The Coasters, Bettye La Vette, Chuck Jackson, Melissa Manchester, Tommy Tune, Sally Kellerman and Ben E King.

Quinn has performed on "The Tonight Show," "The David Letterman Show," "The Today Show," "The View," the Emmy Awards, "America?s Got Talent," and his playing can be heard on many TV shows as well as feature films. One of his compositions can be heard on the Emmy award winning Showtime series "Homeland".

Quinn has released several CDs on different labels, and currently composes, arranges, and produces songs and CDs for artists in various genres. His latest release "TRIO con CLAVE," an exciting blend of American standards and Cuban rhythms, has seen constant airplay in several major markets since its release last year.

Located within Hotel Nikko (222 Mason Street, San Francisco), Feinstein's at the Nikko presents a wide range of entertainers from stage and screen all within an intimate 140-seat cabaret setting. There is a $20 food and beverage minimum per person inside the showroom which guests can use towards cocktails as well as a variety of small plates crafted exclusively for Feinstein's at the Nikko, through Restaurant Anzu. Cheese and dessert platters will also be available in the showroom.

Guests of Feinstein's at the Nikko can enjoy a variety of food and beverage options before performances. Kanpai Lounge, located in Hotel Nikko's lobby, offers light cuisine, a full bar and specialty cocktails. Restaurant Anzu, Hotel Nikko's intimate restaurant located on the second floor, serves sustainable California cuisine enhanced with Asian flavors.
