A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD Adds 1/12 Performance at MTC

A Year with Frog and Toad has added a performance on January 12 at 3 p.m. at Marin Theatre Company. The Bay Area Children's Theatre production is playing through January 19, 2014, as part of MTC's Theater Series for Young Audiences.

A Year with Frog and Toad features book and lyrics by Willie Reale, music by Robert Reale, and is based on the Newbery and Caldecott Medals-winning book series by Arnold Lobel. Bay Area Children's Theatre's production is directed by Lynda Bachman.

See two of the most beloved children's book characters live onstage in this buoyant, musical adaptation of the popular Caldecott and Newbery Medals-winning series Frog and Toad. Join these two adventurous amphibians and all the other forest creatures as they hop, sing and dance their way through trials of friendship. Nominated for three 2003 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

Performance Days:
Sat, 1/11 and 1/18, at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Sun, 1/12, at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Sun, 1/19, at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

All performances play Marin Theatre Company, 397 Miller Avenue, Mill Valley, Calif. Recommended for ages three and up | 70 minutes, including one 15-minute intermission.

Tickets: $15 for children under the age of 14; $20 for adults; $17 for seniors over 64. Discounts available for groups of fifteen or more. All tickets are available online (tickets.marintheatre.org) and through MTC's Box Office by phone, (415) 388-5208, or in person, 397 Miller Ave, Mill Valley (Tuesday-Saturday, noon-5:00 p.m.).

ABOUT MTC'S THEATER SERIES FOR YOUNG AUDIENCES: In 2013, Marin Theatre Company launched its first theater series for young audiences. Featuring five productions in MTC's 99-seat Lieberman Theatre and 231-seat Boyer Theatre, the season includes four Bay Area Children's Theatre productions - The Cat in the Hat, A Year with Frog and Toad, Mercy Watson to the Rescue and Ladybug Girl and Bumblebee Boy, the Musical - and an MTC production ofRapunzel.
