12th Annual DIVAfest Runs 5/9-6/2 in San Francisco
Among the many presentations by women artists at the 2013 DIVAfest are three full-length stage works, each with a totally different takes on the way women view the world. Whether their issue is PMS, mythological standards of beauty, or bumping-and-grinding, the women in these three works are in charge...no doubt about it. Melissa Fall's You're Going to Bleed, Megan Cohen and Amy Clare Tasker's The Helen Project, and Rebel Without A Bra: A Burlesque Cabaret created by the a-peeling duo of Red Velvet and If-N-Whendy, all carry on in the grand tradition of San Francisco's DIVAfest.
The 12th Annual DIVAfest is hosted by longtime supporter EXIT Theatre and staged at the EXIT Theatreplex, 156 Eddy Street, in downtown San Francisco, May 9 -June 2, 2013.
