Following our "no one saw us coming" sleeper hit (Angela’s Dream) in SDFF2013, Kata's ARTburlesque presents Courtesan Café (premiere), set in 1913 Cafe de Paris. The obsessive, sometimes funny, story of Pigalle and his well-drawn stable (so he thinks) of women: Meet Coco Chanel, Camille Claudel and Colette, in their dance with love, ambition, betrayal and lust. Choices and consequences. A powerhouse dramedy of adult cabaret/contemporary modern/butoh in a cheeky venue! Adult scenes. (18+) $10 ticket includes French Buffet and free admission to post-show Les Girls. Inspired by Kata’s “Lenora” - winner of NYC Madeline Sadin Award for a Female Poet.
