A holiday fantasy world springs to life on the stage at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts as New West Ballet Theatre presents the classic ballet The Nutcracker. Famous for its festive Tchaikovsky score, The Nutcracker made its debut in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1892 and has since become a beloved holiday tradition for families all over the world. A magical story of one family's memorable Christmas festivities and one girl's unforgettable adventure, this ballet continues to delight audiences of all ages with its dancing dolls, toy soldiers, Sugar Plum Fairy, mice and more.
