La Llorona on the Blue Line is a world premiere play by Mabelle Reynoso, directed by Dr. Maria Patrice Amon, set to take place aboard San Diego's Blue Line trolley from June 5 to June 21, 2025. This immersive production weaves haunting narratives across three historical timelines—1920, 1946, and 1982—inviting the audience to confront the lingering effects of the past. Starring Nancy Batres, Paloma Carrillo, and Vanessa Flores, the play explores themes of collective memory and justice through the lens of the La Llorona legend. As audiences traverse vintage train cars, they will experience a chilling yet poignant reflection on grief and motherhood that resonates through generations.
