San Diego Musical Theatre announces the Pulitzer Prize winning NEXT TO NORMAL, (press opening on Saturday, September 27) at the North Park Theatre.
NEXT TO NORMAL tells the story of a mother, Diana Goodman, who struggles with bipolar disorder and the effect that her illness has on her family. This contemporary musical is an emotional power- house that addresses such issues as grieving a loss, ethics in modern psychiatry, and suburban life. With provocative lyrics and a thrilling score, this musical shows how far two parents will go to keep themselves sane and their family's world intact.
The cast features Bets Malone* (Diana Goodman), Robert Townsend* (Dan Goodman), Eddie Egan* (Gabriel "Gabe" Goodman), Lindsay Joan (Natalie Goodman), Eric Parker (Henry), and Geno Carr* (Dr. Madden).

Single tickets for SDMT's production of NEXT TO NORMAL are $26.00, $36.00, $46.00 and $56.00. Children 16 years and under receive a $10 discount.
