Once Upon a Time... is a Family Series production from B Street Theatre that follows Ruthie, an imaginative young girl who has recently moved and struggles to make new friends, finding refuge in a world of stories ranging from superhero adventures to magical quests. The production features plays written by student winners of B Street's 2025 Playwriting Contest, drawn from more than 200 entries submitted by Sacramento-area school children. The cast includes B Street company members Elisabeth Nunziato and Hunter Hoffman, alongside guest actors Fatemeh Mehraban and Monique Lonergan in her B Street debut. As Ruthie's imagination expands alongside her isolation, the story explores what it means to be seen and to make a genuine connection.
