MARIE CURIE AND THE SISTERHOOD OF SCIENCE is a mesmerizing, radioactive adventure in scientific discovery and great for young audiences! This production showcases Marie Curie as a figure of mythic proportions — an ordinary woman who became an extraordinary force for good, won two Nobel prizes in two different fields, and saved thousands of lives on the battlefield in WW1 and millions thereafter with her ground-breaking technology, X-Rays.
As told through the eyes of her young daughters, Irène and Eve, Marie’s life was not easy. Much of her extraordinary journey was as a single mother, raising 2 children alone, defying social conventions as a woman in a male-dominated field, and working with incredibly dangerous material that took a toll on her health and body. But her mission was simple, her name forever remembered, her story...heroic!
Madame Curie’s legacy of courage and sacrifice lives on, not only in the lives she saved but also in the next generation of scientists and the millions of men and women who followed in her footsteps in medicine, science and discovery. The legacy of the Curie family and the world-altering power of radioactivity is brought to life onstage: don't miss your chance to see this play!
