Grease, the satirical Broadway hit that launched the movie musical sensation starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, played at the Wells Fargo Pavilion through July 1. With book, music and lyrics by Jim Jacobs and WarRen Casey, Grease got the 2012 Music Circus season off to a singing, dancing, high energy start. Playing Sandy in this Music Circus production is Kirsten Scott, who has appeared on Broadway in the recent revival of Follies and Hairspray. Danny is played by Brandon Albright, who starred in the recent production of The Buddy Holly Story, directed by Glenn Casale. Playing Betty Rizzo is 2009 Laurence Olivier Award-winner Lesli Margherita, who was last at Music Circus in the 2010 production of Spamalot. Playing Kenickie is Michael D. Jablonski. Robert J. Townsend plays Vince Fontaine/Teen Angel. Beth Malone plays Marty, and playing Sonny LaTierri is Joe Abraham. Melissa WolfKlain plays Jan, Keven Quillon plays Roger, and Frenchy is played by Melissa Fahn. John Pinto Jr. plays Doody, Jill Townsend plays Patty Simcox, Eugene Florczyk is played by Jeff Skowron, Cynthia Ferrer plays Miss Lynch, and Cha-Cha DiGregorio is played by Dana Solimando.
