Photo Flash: Capital Stage Presents the Sacramento Premiere of SLOWGIRL
Capital Stage presents the Sacramento Premiere of Slowgirl by Greg Pierce . This is be Jennifer King's Capital Stage Directing debut. It will be the third production of Capital Stage's 2018/19 Season: #SearchingForAmerica. Performances will run from January 23 - February 24, 2019 with a Press Opening on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 8:00 pm.
Slowgirl is the story of a teenager who flees the United States to her reclusive uncle's retreat in the Costa Rican jungle to escape the aftermath of a terrible accident. The week they spend together forces them both to confront who they are as well as what it is they are running from.
Slowgirl was the inaugural show at the at the Lincoln Center's Claire Tow Theater (LCT3). It starred Zeljko Ivanek and Sarah Steele, and was directed by Anne Kauffman. It was then produced by Hyde Park Theater, Steppenwolf Theatre, and The Geffen Playhouse among others.
