'Creative Capital' Celebrates the Arts in Sacramento
Each year the Arts & Business Council of Sacramento invites citizens to nominate artists, leaders, volunteers, organizations or businesses that deserve to be recognized for outstanding contributions to the region's art and culture.
Categories include: Artist of the Year, Arts Educator of the Year, Arts Executive of the Year, Arts/Business Partnership, Arts Management Excellence (annual budget above $500K), Arts Management Excellence (annual budget below $500K), Business Support of the Arts, Individual Leadership, Volunteer of the Year and Lifetime Achievement.
These individuals and cultural organizations have made a significant impact in the arts during the past year. The Arts & Business Council of Sacramento celebrates three finalists and one award winner in each category at the Prelude to the Season, taking place this year on October 1st, 2010 at at the DoubleTree Hotel.
This theme 'Creative Capital' was selected to highlight the creative sector's contributions to the regional economy.
