The Winters Theatre Company  will hold auditions for their summer Shakespeare in the Park production of 'Much Ado About Nothing.' Auditions will be held at the Winters Community Center at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, June 13th and Wednesday, June 15th.

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.
Performance dates will be Fridays and Saturdays, August 12th - 20th.

Show Dates: September 22 - October 15
Rehearsal Dates: August 15 - September 21

The Pillowman is a dark drama about the unflinching examination of the very nature and purpose of art. Police interrogate a writer about the gruesome content of his short stories and their similarities to a series of child murders.

Auditions will be on Sunday, June 5 at 7pm. Call backs TBD.
Please bring a headshot & resume and be prepared to do cold readings from the script.

Katurian K. Katurian - A author of horrific stories. Claims to be innocent of what the police are accusing him. Age: Mid 20s - 40s.

Tupolski - "Good Cop" Intelligent, quirky, sardonic, funny and heroic for the community despite police brutality. Age: 20+

Ariel - "Bad Cop" The bulldog of the two cops. Fierce, eager to torture anyone on the wrong side of the law. Vicious, inflexible and unprincipled. Fiercely protective of children. Age: 20+

Michal - Katurian's brain-damaged brother, also brought in for questioning. A simple, childlike soul. Mid 20s - 40s.

Father - late 20s-40s
Mother - late 20s-40s,
Girl /Boy - Looking for an actor to play an age range of 8-14. This actor must be willing to act out Katurian's horrific and disturbing stories. Age: Early 20's

Chautauqua Playhouse will be holding General Auditions on May 29th, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at The Playhouse, 5325 Engle Road, Carmichael (in the La Sierra Community Center)

Our primary castings are for our upcoming production of SHORTS AND SHORTERS, a series of original monologues and ten minute plays by local playwrights, this summer and potential original full length productions by local playwrights throughout the year.
