Disney's Hercules Jr. at Seegler Theatre at Beacon High School

Beacon Performing Arts Center (BPAC) presents a pilot production of Disney's Hercules Jr. on May 29 and 30 at the Seegler Theatre at Beacon High School, making BPAC one of only a few theatre companies in the country chosen to premiere this brand-new Junior version of a Disney musical. Representatives from Disney will be in attendance to evaluate the production, meaning BPAC is not just performing the show but helping to shape it before its official release. The production follows Hercules, played by Ben Fury, as he discovers his demigod heritage, battles Hades (Emory Rowe), and finds love with Megara (Isabella Felidi), featuring music by Alan Menken including songs such as Go the Distance and Zero to Hero. The cast features students in grades 6 through 10 from across the Hudson Valley, directed by Jake Vander Linden, with choreography by Tim Grady and music direction by Kate Vander Linden.
