REVIEWS:
Jazzy Bluesy originals and stylized covers.
Glenn Berger – Producer, Engineer & Author of “Never Say No to a Rock Star” & recipient of the Nicholas Schaffner Award for Music in Literature, Re Wheels of Commotion Album – “…the real stand outs on the record are Conigliaro’s originals. The title tune, “Wheels of Commotion,” swings easy in counterpoint under its evocative lyrics, which may be commenting all too closely on our current political condition. Another great track, “My Soul Is,” begins with Brian’s deft bluesy harp, and features a no-holds-barred vocal that reaches to the depths of that thing we call our soul.”
LA Jazz Scene News – Myrna Daniels “Brian always adds richness to tunes…His Brazilian grooves are sassy as hell. Brian is a tasty player:”
LA Times Jazz Critic Leonard Feather “Brian Conigliaro is a great down home jazz/blues harmonica player who must be seen”
Jeff Becker – Jazz Sensibilities “The eclecticism is actually the glue that showcases the mastery and wisdom of note choices from these veteran musicians”
O’s Place Jazz Magazine “Brian…has a gruff voice that is immediately recognizable. The Ecomonics of Love has a cool honky-tonk beat….with Brian playing funky harmonica.”
