August Bish is a jazz bassist, composer, and bandleader based in New York City. As a leader, he brings an eclectic musical background and deep interest in global artistic cultures to a sound distinctly rooted in the swing and bop traditions. Together with pianist Jake Nalangan and drummer Parker Reid, they represent the classic jazz piano trio sound, cleverly reimagined through the lens of a distinctly American kind of multiculturalism.
