White Plains Shakespeare in the Park Stages MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING This Week
The White Plains Performing Arts Center is proud to present William Shakespeare's best-loved comedy Much Ado About Nothing tonight, July 15th and tomorrow, July 16th at Turnure Park (Lake Street). Show time is at 7:00 p.m. on both nights. This production is free and open to the public. In the case of rain, the production will be moved indoors to the White Plains Performing Arts Center at 11 City Place, downtown White Plains.
A 90-minute telling of one of Shakespeare's greatest love stories (or at least one of his most interesting couples) Benedick loves Beatrice and Beatrice loves Benedick but neither will admit it. Claudio loves Hero and Hero loves Claudio but an evil plan and a rush to judgement could ruin everything. In this quick-paced production, the audience will become a part of the world of the play as they serve as guests at the party of Leonata and as members of "the watch."
White Plains Performing Arts Center's production features the talents of Emily Banks (Ursula), Martha Benson (Beatrice), Andrew Betz (Claudio), Brianna Bowman (Hero), Darius James Copland (Verges), Philip J. Cutrone (Friar), Nathaniel Janis (Benedick), John Anthony Lopez (Dogberry), Mike Newman (Don Pedro), Will Pryor-Bennett (Borachio), Jeremy Quinn (Sexton), Sara Snadowsky (Margaret), Andre Sguerra (Don John), and Phoebe Wright (Leonata). Much Ado About Nothing is directed by Karen Loftus with costume design by Heather Craig and sound design by Scott Tunkel.
