WBT Welcomes 12 Year Old Ballroom Sensations 11/9

New York's sensational 12-year-old ballroom dancers, Patryk and Anna, who made it to the finals of the recent hit NBC-TV show, America's Got Talent, will join the cast of the "BallroomDancesport Extravaganza show We Are The Champions" at the Westchester Broadway Theatre in Elmsford, NY, Tuesday evening, Nov. 9.

Patryk (Ploszak) and Anna (Kaczmarski), 7th graders who reside in Woodside, Queens, and New Hyde Park, respectively, will dance in the hit show in Westchester upon the conclusion of the AGT's national tour to which they had been commuting on weekends so as not to miss school.

The We Are The Champions show Patryk and Anna will be joining includes five other World and American Champion professional ballroom couples representing almost all of the various dances seen in ballroom in showcase presentations. It also includes one of the world's most renown Argentine Tango teams. Patryk and Anna, who won the hearts of America on AGT are the reigning United States National Jr. I Latin, Standard Ballroom and 10-Dance Champions and twice represented theU.S. at the World Championships held in England. The kids had originally declined going on AGT's 25-cities national tour because they did not want to miss any more school. However, due to persistent calls from the show's producers they relented when they were told they would be flown each Friday to wherever the show was performing and then flown home each Sunday. Of course, when the show is in the eastern U.S. Anna's father will drive them in his van. The kids and their parents are also getting all their expenses paid each weekend, the full $2,000 per week salary and an invite to be guest stars on the show when it begins its new season next year.


However, being at the Westchester Broadway Theatre Tuesday evening, Nov. 9, will mark the first appearance of the kids after the AGT tour.

Also in the show will be Gherman Mustuc and Iveta Lukosiute, the World's Champion 10-Dancers (Latin & Standard Ballroom) who are also second in the world in Classical Showdancing. They come here after a highly successful tour of the Far East. Igor Litvinov and Julia Ivleva, winners of 60 major dance competitions in America are certain to draw the attention of the audience, as will Bulgarian Latin Champions, Plamen Danailov withTina Gerova.World Showdance Grand Finalists, Dmitri and Svetlana Ostashkin from Moscow, who now reside in nearby Ardsley where they own and teach at their New York Dance Center, will again be with the cast. The Ostashkins, who were twice the Professional Latin Champions of Eastern Europe and Grand Finalists in the World Championship Showdance competition when it was held in Shanghai, China, are considered one of the most entertaining dance teams in America. Their signature presentation of their rumba, "Smile", for which they are associated is a show stopper as is their show ending "Big Boy Cha, Cha, Cha".

Tickets are $75 per person plus tax, and it includes served dinner featuring your choice from six entrees and show.
