The White Plains Performing Arts Center (WPPAC) has announced the cast of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical an exuberant rock musical about a group of young Americans searching for truth, peace and love.

HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical, with book and lyrics by James Rado and Gerome Ragni and music by Galt MacDermot, is the story of the "tribe", a group of politically active, long-haired hippies of the "Age of Aquarius" living a bohemian life in New York City and fighting against conscription into the Vietnam War and features the familiar hit songs "Aquarius", "Good Morning Starshine," and "Let The Sun Shine In".
The cast includes Keith Antone, Andrew Betz, Austin Colby, Jessica Crilley, Sheira Feuerstein ("Cecily" in the WPPAC's recent production of The Importance of Being Earnest), Deidra Grace ("Sofia" in WPPAC's The Color Purple), Katy Hinson, Kristen Jeter, Peter Marinaro, David Melendez, Sharon Pearlman, Kris Roberts, Marc Sully Saint-Fleur, Tiffany Stoker, Greg Sullivan, and Shaina Vencel. This production is directed by Jeremy Quinn (WPPAC Producing Artistic Director and director of WPPAC's acclaimed productions of August: Osage County and The Color Purple) with choreography by Taavon Gamble (WPPAC's The Color Purple) and musical direction by Keith Levenson (Broadway's Dreamgirls, Jesus Christ Superstar, Grease).

Winner of the 2009 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical, HAIR will play the White Plains Performing Arts Center May 3-5 and 10-11 (Friday & Saturday at 8pm; Sunday at 2pm) Tickets are $35. This musical contains Strong Language and Nudity, Parental Discretion is advised.

All performances are at the White Plains theatre, located on the third level of City Center off Mamaroneck Avenue in downtown White Plains.
