This classic Shakespearean comedy brings a fun twist with director, Michael Scholar Jr., as he presents this classic story through the eyes of a child. In addition, Michael adds a twist to this tale of escaping to the Athenian woods, where the King and Queen of the Fairies dwell, with the famous childrens book Where The Wild Things Are, where the woods come in through the childs bedroom. It is sure to be a hit this hot summer! This Midsummer is a look at how children can find their escape in the world of imagination and magic when their own lives are upsetting. Before every mainstage performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Colonial Theatre will host a variety of musical and theatrical performances as a part of the Greenshow. Every night is a new act, and all acts can be found on the website.
