Trinity Rep Extends THE GRAPES OF WRATH Through 10/12

In response to high demand and praise from critics and patrons alike, Trinity Rep announces additional performances of The Grapes of Wrath. Tickets are now on sale for Friday, October 11 at 7:30pm and Saturday, October 12 at 7:30pm. The Friday night performance serves as benefit for Direct Action for Rights and Equality (DARE) and RI Coalition for the Homeless, with proceeds donated to these organizations. Bready Artistic Director, "Audiences have been reacting on such an emotional level to this story - a tight-knit family driven out of their home and fighting to stay alive. When the opportunity arose to extend the show, the cast immediately asked for us to arrange for one performance to support people facing those same problems today. It was our honor to dedicate this additional Friday performance to benefit DARE and RI Coalition for the Homeless, two groups committed to making a difference locally."

Adapted for the stage by Frank Galati, this evocative and deeply affecting stage version of The Grapes of Wrath lifts Steinbeck's novel to new heights of theatrical urgency when married with director Brian McEleney's visceral storytelling style.
