This fresh adaptation invites audiences to step onto the Governors State University campus, where administrators, students, artists, and dreamers collide in a whirlwind of love, chaos, and unexpected magic. Reimagining Shakespeare's Athens and enchanted forest as the GovState campus, the production divides its world between the rules of the day and the freedom of the night, all while preserving Shakespeare's original language.
Filled with comedy, romance, and unforgettable characters, A Midsummer Night's Dream is perfect for longtime Shakespeare lovers and anyone discovering his work for the first time.
Over the coming weeks, this cast will bring their creativity, passion, and imagination to every rehearsal as they prepare to share this beloved story with our community. We hope you'll join us to celebrate their work and experience the magic together.
