The Oscar-winning classic “Sunset Boulevard” tells the haunting tale of a faded silent film star who weaves an embittered writer into her web of celluloid fantasy. Now, Cinballera brings this 1950 masterpiece to life anew on the stage as an original ballopera, blending operatic singing, classical dancing, and classic film scores.
Old Hollywood style meets modern film technology to create an immersive visual experience in San Diego’s historic Old Town Theatre. Captivating visuals, a thrilling story, understandable sung and spoken words, and a multitalented cast of five will pull you into this unforgettable ballopera.
