Zachary Levi is set to headline the rock-climbing action thriller Free Fall, with Zoë Bell directing. Free Fall tells the story of a father’s attempt to reconcile with his estranged daughter in New Zealand on a rock-climbing trip that turns deadly as an accident leaves them stranded hundreds of feet in the air. As a storm sets in, the two must fight against the elements and terrifying heights in order to survive.

Owen plays the iconic, hard-boiled private detective Sam Spade in the six-episode crime drama co-created, written and executive produced by Emmy® Award-winners Scott Frank (The Queen’s Gambit, Logan, Minority Report), who also serves as director, and Tom Fontana (City on a Hill, Borgia, Oz). Known for lovingly paying homage to the world of documentaries, Documentary Now! Season 53 will debut with a two-episode premiere on Wednesday, October 19 at 10 PM on IFC, and on AMC+ the same day. New episodes will debut weekly on Wednesdays. Starting September 1, AMC+ will be the exclusive home of previous seasons of Documentary Now!.

The two-part, season premiere episode, “Soldier of Illusion,” written by John Mulaney and starring Alexander Skarsgård (The Northman, Big Little Lies), Nicholas Braun (Succession, Zola) and August Diehl (Inglourious Basterds), was inspired by the Werner Herzog-focused documentary Burden of Dreams.

Tarantino had said that he plans to possibly retire after his 10th film, which has yet to be announced. However, he revealed that he may want to dabble in some other things, namely play adaptations of some of his films.

There are 89 Oscar nominees, including 25 winners, among the invitees.

Tarantino, best known for writing and directing such films as “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” “Django Unchained,” “Pulp Fiction,” Inglourious Basterds” and “Reservoir Dogs,” is now a married man with a 16-month-old son.

AMC Networks announced today the premiere dates for several new and returning original series, including second seasons of AMC's mystic modern-day fable Lodge 49 and horror-infused anthology The Terror: Infamy, IFC's new musical variety sketch comedy Sherman's Showcase and SundanceTV's Close Up with The Hollywood Reporter, quirky comedy Rosehaven Season 3 and the new true crime thriller No One Saw A Thing.

The recently announced 101 Studios has brought on Michele Newman as Executive Vice President of Finance and Strategy, Laurent Ouaknine as head of US Distribution and Ennis Hensley as head of International Sales & Distribution. Newman will helm financing, strategic planning, business development and operations. The American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) has chosen two honorees to be feted for their body of work at the 33rd ASC Awards for Outstanding Achievement. Robert Richardson, ASC will receive the ASC Lifetime Achievement Award, and Jeff Jur, ASC will be bestowed the org's Career Achievement in Television Award. The presentations will be made at the annual ASC Awards gala on February 9, 2019, at the Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland. The event will also pay tribute to the society's centennial in 2019.
