Burning Coal Theatre Company's Playwriting Class, taught by Jason Tyne-Zimmerman, takes place from 6:30 to 9:30 pm on Mondays from September 3rd to October 22nd. This is an eight-week dramatic playwriting class focusing on the concepts of conflict, action, characterization, and dialogue. 

ABOUT JASON TYNE-ZIMMERMAN. Jason Tyne-Zimmerman, Burning Coal's new Director of Education, is a director, playwright, and actor.   He holds an MFA from Northwestern University in directing and an MA from NYU in educational theater.  He is the founder of the Exquisite Corpse Festival, an omnimedia arts organization celebrating collaboration and trust through the traditional surrealist game of the exquisite corpse. His New York City directing credits include Romeo and Juliet Drink the Young WineHead GamesThe Cooking King,And That's The Way It Is! (...if you think so)Baby with the Bathwater, as well as two operas for Empire Opera Company.
