Portland Opera presents The Juliet Letters, featuring a unique blend of song and strings inspired by Elvis Costello's collaboration with the Brodsky Quartet. This production, part of the company's 60th anniversary season, showcases the Portland Opera Resident Artists and includes a prelude performance of Howard Blake's "Shakespeare Songs" by guest artist Hannah Penn. The immersive experience follows the narrative of a Veronese academic responding to letters addressed to Juliet, exploring the many facets of love through a series of poignant musical pieces. The performances take place at Artists Repertory Theatre from November 15 to 24, 2024.
