S.E.M. Ensemble: Many Many Women & String Quartet No. 1 features two works by composer and director Petr Kotik, performed at Bohemian National Hall. The program includes Many Many Women (1975-1978), set to text from a Gertrude Stein novella and performed by S.E.M. Ensemble members Zen Wu, Rocky Duval, Padraic Costello, Nathan Fletcher, James Gregory, Nicholas Hay, Petr Kotik, Roberta Michel, Sam Jones, Cha Changhyun, William Lang, and Jennifer Baker. Also on the program is String Quartet No. 1 "Erinnerungen an Jan" (2007-2010), performed by the Glass Clouds Ensemble with Raina Arnett, Holly Workman, Noémie Chemali, and Kelcey Howell. The concert coincides with the release of a 2022 recording of Many Many Women on the Sub Rosa label.
