Gallery Theater Presents Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead
A witty, absurd, and thought-provoking theatrical experience

A Play by Tom Stoppard

McMinnville, OR – What happens when two minor characters wander into the biggest tragedy in literature and have no idea what’s going on? Gallery Theater invites audiences into the delightfully disorienting world of Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, where Rosencrantz (Reese Madden) and Guildenstern (Delaney Sump) find themselves swept into the events of Hamlet with little memory, less understanding, and no control over their fate. As they flip coins, question reality, and desperately try to make sense of their situation, they encounter the enigmatic Player (Danielle Ross) and a troupe of Tragedians who may understand far more than they let on. Meanwhile, the familiar figures of Hamlet (Sean Soren Brady), Ophelia (Sarah Munk), Claudius (Dave Ferry), Gertrude (Beth Moore), and Polonius (Ben Lapp) pass through their world, pulling them ever closer to an ending they cannot escape.

Running April 17 through May 3, 2026, this fast-paced, intellectually playful comedy explores fate, free will, and the absurdity of existence. Tom Stoppard’s celebrated script blends razor-sharp wit with surprising emotional depth, creating a theatrical experience that is as funny as it is thought-provoking.

Directed by John Hamilton, this production features a talented local cast bringing Stoppard’s language and layered storytelling to life.

Featuring:

Sean Soren Brady, Dave Ferry, Kevin Folgate, Ben Lapp, Reese Madden, Thomas Millage, Beth Moore, Sarah Munk, Tonya Nichols, Danielle Ross, Soren Smithrud, Delaney Sump, Sara Wright
