Magellanica is a five-part epic play written by Oregon playwright E.M. Lewis. This production is made possible through major funding from the Oregon Community Foundation (OCF) Creative Heights Initiative and the Edgerton Foundation New Play Award. Magellanica is a part of Portland's Fertile Ground Festival of New Works.

PROFILE THEATRE presents a production of the comedic drama 2.5 Minute Ride by Pulitzer and Tony-winning playwright Lisa Kron. Riding the rails of humor and horror, this solo performance features NYC-based actor Allison Mickelson, who recently impressed audiences at Portland Center Stage in Lisa Kron's award-winning musical Fun Home. It will be directed by Jane Unger, Profile's founding artistic director, and marks the first full (double!) season for Profile's ambitious new Artistic Director Josh Hecht, as well as the third year of the Diversity and Inclusivity Initiative.

Three actors play two sets of characters with identical names living 50 years apart. In the 1950s Oliver hires Sylvia to illustrate his newest children's book and an attraction develops between Oliver and Sylvia's deeply closeted husband Philip. In the present day, Philip and Oliver are a couple on the rocks due to Oliver's resistance to monogamy and his emotional dependence on his best friend Sylvia. Defunkt's Executive Director Sarah Armitage directs the Portland premiere this Olivier-award winning play which cuts back and forth between two eras to challenge notions of love, faithfulness, and the true nature of liberation.

Love appears in unlikely places in Adam Szymkowicz's new play, Kodachrome, which makes its world premiere at The Armory directed by Associate Artistic Director Rose Riordan. The production opens February 9, with previews beginning February 3 and performances running through March 10 in the Ellyn Bye Studio. Kodachrome was developed at The Armory's JAW: A Playwrights Festival in 2015 under the title Colchester and will be the company's 26th world premiere production.
