PWYW PAY WHAT YOU WILL Previews Continue With PASSION 4/13-14

By:

In keeping with its new policy of "All Previews, All Pay What You Will," (PWYW) Portland Actors Conservatory's next pair of preview performances are admission by donation. 'Passion' previews take place April 13 and 14 at 7:30pm at Portland Actors Conservatory's Firehouse Theatre, 1436 SW Montgomery Street, Portland, Ore., 97201. Admission to PWYW preview performances is on a first come, first served basis, at the door. Patrons who wish to reserve a seat in advance may purchase a general admission seat for $5.00 online at www.actorsconservatory.com or by phone.

"We've seen a definite audience response to making our preview performances more accessible," said PAC Board of Directors Chairman Jeff Gorham of The Timberland Company. "People that wouldn't normally come here are encouraged to investigate the Conservatory, and theatre in general, and they seem to really like what they find."

In February, PAC announced that all preview performances would be "pay what you will," starting with "The Comedy of Errors" directed by Philip Cuomo. The PWYW preview policy change was spearheaded by incoming Board of Directors Chair Jeff Gorham
PAC's third show of the season, "Passion Play" is directed by Portland Center Stage associate artistic director Rose Riordan and written by Sarah Ruhl.

Each show in Portland Actors Conservatory's three-show season of plays has two preview performances preceding the opening night performance. Traditionally, tickets to these previews have been $13.

"Passion Play" opens April 15 and runs Thursday through Saturday evenings at 7:30pm and 2:00 matinee performances through May 1. Check website for details: http://www.actorsconservatory.com/show3.php.
