HART (Hillsboro Artists Regional Theatre) continues its 15th season with a production of the nostalgic hit Forever Plaid.  The show opens on Friday, October 16 and runs through November 15th with performances on Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 and Sunday matinees at 2pm.  With this 2009-2010 season, HART has a new start time for all of their evening shows of 7:30pm.

Forever Plaid is the story of four young men in a vocal harmony group who tragically lost their lives on their way to their first big show in 1964. Forty-five years later, they are brought back to life to perform the concert they missed. Alternately funny and heartwarming, this delightful musical tells of the importance of living your dreams, and reminds us that life is never wasted when you're doing what you love.

Evoking a simpler time, Forever Plaid features the sweet innocence of the youthful voices of the cast: Erick Valle as Sparky, Frank Strauhal as Francis, Joe Aicher as Jinx, and Leland Radburn as Smudge.  Alice Dalrymple is the pianist and Matt Russell is the director behind this fine production. Don’t miss this nostalgic cavalcade of popular tunes from the 50’s and early 60’s!

Friends of HART, a non-profit community organization formed in 1997 to operate the theatre, is dedicated to enriching the greater Hillsboro community by providing quality live performing arts at a reasonable price.  Overseen by a dedicated board of directors consisting of various community members and arts supporters, Friends of HART has grown HART into a respected live community performance theatre that produces a regular season of creative, clever, and entertaining plays in its newly created 99-seat theatre.
