WE FLY at O'Reilly Theater - Helen Wayne Rauh Rehearsal Hall

WE FLY is a satirical mockumentary-style play by Pittsburgh playwright TJ Young, directed by Jade King Carroll. Members of the Frankensburgh, Texas community retell events surrounding the unexplained disappearance of Rashaad Powell and the "Great Gettin' Up", with journalist Travis Coleman leading a reenactment of individual voices and characters. The cast includes Bria Walker-Rhoze, Christian Trimmingham, Moyo Ifafore, Daniel Evans, Celia Evans, Brett Sullivan Santry, Cameron Nickel, Cecilia Staggers, and Madelyn Streisfeld. This developmental reading is part of the CMU Center for New Work's Impulse Festival, a new event featuring plays and musicals in development at Pittsburgh Public Theater, Pittsburgh CLO, and CMU's MFA in Dramatic Writing program.
