Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School To Host Summer Kickoff Party On First Day Of Summer

Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School celebrates the first day of summer from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m., Thursday, June 21, with its Community Division Summer Kickoff Party, which introduces guests to dance and fitness options ranging from barre fitness to ballet.

The ticketed event is open to the public and will include dance and fitness classes such as hip-hop, core conditioning, and ballet, tastings from The Pittsburgh Juice Company, and an appearance from local activewear vendor, Urbanfitco, at PBT Studios, 2900 Liberty Ave., in the Strip District. Guests also will have the opportunity to enter to win prizes and receive discounts on various Community Division packages.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at pbt.org/event/meet-me-at-the-barre-summer-kickoff-party/. Advance registration is not required but is recommended due to space limitations. For additional questions, contact Kristy Boyle at 412-454-9137.

From Pilates and core conditioning to barre fitness and ballet, PBT School's Community Division offers dance and fitness classes for teens and adults, ages 14 and up, on a flexible, drop-in basis. Community classes at PBT School offer the opportunity to train like a dancer with classes suitable for all fitness levels and for seasoned dancers to those with little or no experience. Classes are designed to work all major muscle groups, burn calories and build lean muscle - all in an uplifting environment. For class schedules and package pricing, visit www.pbt.org.
