Ballet Arizona, the Valley’s only professional ballet company, will kick off its spring ballet season with “Spring Mix” from March 27 to 30th at Orpheum Theatre. “Spring Mix” features a program of contemporary ballets with an outstanding soundtrack of classical, contemporary, and alternative music. Ballet Arizona will celebrate masterful and diverse choreography with works from both emerging and celebrated choreographers. Audiences can experiences three short but dynamic ballets, similar to a collection of short stories. Ballet Arizona’s resident choreographer, Nayon Iovino, will present a world premiere, “Akelarre,” with music by Thomas Breadon, Jr., performed by the Mill Ave Chamber Players. The lineup also includes “Within The Golden Hour,” choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon and “Take Me With You,” choreographed by Robert Bondara.
