CAST

Melissa: Tricia Greer

Tricia Greer is a familiar presence on Northern Arizona stages and has portrayed Sedona Schnebly, the namesake of Sedona, in historical performances for the Sedona Heritage Museum. Her theatre work with Emerson Theater Collaborative includes The Dinner. In Love Letters, Greer takes on the role of Melissa Gardner, bringing to the character her experience in theatrical storytelling and in portraying women whose lives unfold across time and memory.

Andrew: Robert Fleet

Robert Fleet is an award-winning actor, writer and director with an extensive career in theatre, film and television. His screen credits include Clint Eastwood’s J. Edgar, The Wedding Ringer, The Heart of Man, Tread and the feature film Player. Fleet received the Best Actor (Feature) award at the 2013 Idyllwild CinemaFest for his performance in Player. His theatre credits include Camelot as Arthur, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Twelfth Night, Cabaret and the title role in Pilate. His training includes Syracuse University, the Stella Adler Conservatory, LAMDA and RADA.

PLAYWRIGHT:

A.R. (“Pete”) Gurney was born in 1930 in Buffalo, New York. He graduated from Williams College in 1952, served as an officer in the Navy, and afterwards attended the Yale School of Drama. For many years, he taught literature at M.I.T. but moved to New York in 1982 to devote more time to writing for the theatre. He has won a fair amount of awards during his career, and is now a member of the Theatre Hall of Fame and of the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Gurney has been married to his wife Molly for over fifty years. They have four children, eight grandchildren, and now live in Roxbury, Connecticut and New York City. His plays include The Problem, Love Letters, and Scenes From American Life, among others.
