Sedona Welcomes Special Guests, Hosts Openings, Celebrations on 1st Friday Gallery Tour

By:

The skies are clear, the red rocks are gorgeous and visible again in all their glory -- and it's time to enjoy Sedona's famed hospitality! Sedona's finest art galleries invite the public to enjoy a special evening of openings, special guests, artist receptions and celebrations at their 1st Friday Gallery Tour tonight, June 6th from 5 - 8pm. The Sedona Gallery Association, one of the driving forces behind Sedona's vibrant arts scene, has created special events this 1st Friday to celebrate the containment of the Slide Fire.

The SGA wants to thank the firefighters who worked so hard to protect our residents and businesses in Oak Creek Canyon and who kept the Slide Fire from taking even more of Sedona's beloved landscape. All guests are welcome to attend free of charge and ride the Sedona Trolley, which does continuous loops to the Gallery Row & Uptown locations.

A whirlwind of mesmerizing talent, intoxicating images and entertainment, the Sedona Gallery Association tour is one of Sedona's "things to see". Meet local and visiting artists, see them at work and enjoy special presentations along with live music and other special events. Some of the evenings highlights include the kick off of the Bluegrass Festival with a performance from Diamond Down String Band at Goldenstein Gallery in West Sedona at 5pm and renowned actor and artist Michael Horse at Turquoise Tortoise Gallery.

Enjoy galleries filled special artists-in-residence events, sculptors, landscapes and still life paintings, lively conversation, wine, hors d'oeuvres and more. Show your support of this beautiful city and join the celebration this Friday, June 6th, from 5-8. For more information on this special 1st Friday event, go to www.SedonaGalleryAssociation.com.
