Slippery Rock University is set to bring “RED BIKE” by Caridad Svich to the stage this fall. What kind of future will you have living in these here United States? Remember when you were eleven years old and you had a bike, one that made you dream about a world bigger than the one in which you live? This is that memory. Except it is now. “RED BIKE” is directed by Laura Smiley. Previous SRU plays directed by Smiley include “ASTRONOTS”, “M4M”, “Pride & Prejudice”, and “My New Best Friend”. The cast of “RED BIKE” includes Daniel Haubenreiche as #1 Businessman/Kid, Maria Squyres as #2 Mom/Kid, David McGrogan as #3 Dad/Kid, Mikayla Keyes as #4 Old Guy/Kid, Jake Taylor as #5 Dude/Kid/Girl with Braids, and Care Caldwell as #6 Kid. Understudies include Andrew Meche, Michael Rodriguez, Cole Trieste, Hermes Johns, Joy Charbonneau-Lovaas, and Claire Daugherty. “RED BIKE” performances are October 17-18 and 21-22 at 7:30pm and October 19 at 2pm in the Stoner Performing Arts Complex Black Box Theater. Tickets can be purchased at sru.edu/tickets, at $12 for students and $14 for general admissions. Tickets will also be available at the door up to 1 hour before each performance.
