Hamlet at Shakespeare in Clark Park

Shakespeare in Clark Park presents its 21st season production of Hamlet, adapted by Revolution Shakespeare Artistic Director Tai Verley and Cassandra Alexander, in collaboration with Revolution Shakespeare. The production reimagines the tragedy through an ensemble-driven approach in which Barrymore Award nominees Cassandra Alexander, Brittany Onukwugha, Minou Pourshariati, and Dawn McCall share the title role, shifting fluidly between Hamlet and the other characters. A community chorus externalizes Hamlet's internal struggles, creating a theatrical experience that presents the story from multiple perspectives simultaneously. Touring performances begin July 24 at Valley Creek Road Park in Malvern and West Goshen Community Park in West Chester before the main run at the Bowl of Clark Park in Philadelphia.
