A runaway hit in 2013, this collaboration with Sydney Theatre Company is a vivid stage adaptation of Colin Thiele’s much-loved story. In 2015, it’s back for a very limited encore season.

Tom Holloway’s writing honours the spare, unadorned style of the original, while John Sheedy’s sensitive direction brings the characters, whether human or pelican, springing to life.

Storm Boy’s evocation of a far-away windy beach and bittersweet message about growing up has enthralled children and adults alike for decades.
