In Episode 2, Penny Reilly (Kate Wetherhead) wakes up to a bittersweet announcement from her roommate Raina (Asmeret Ghebremichael). While Tim Trull (Colin Hanlon) scrambles to find a new reader, his assistant Gail (Lindsay Nicole Chambers) unexpectedly saves the day. At rehearsals for 'Jeremy's Fort,' Penny struggles to learn music. Her cast mate Serena Maxwell (Donna Vivino), sensing Penny's frustration, takes her out to lunch, where the conversation inevitably turns towards Serena's relationship with Aaron Miller (Santino Fontana). Guest stars for Episode 2 include Kelli O'Hara, Will Swenson, Hunter Foster, Harriet Harris and Stephen DaRosa.

London and Broadway's original Jean Valjean, Colm Wilkinson, performed the role of the Bishop for a special performance of LES MISERABLES Saturday evening, January 11 in Toronto at the Princess of Wales Theatre alongside Broadway's next Valjean, Ramin Karimloo, who will star in Cameron Mackintosh's new production of the legendary musical beginning March 1 at the Imperial Theatre. Wilkinson passed the torch - and the silver candlesticks - to Karimloo in a special benefit performance for five different Toronto charities: Casey House, Covenant House, Ernestine's, The Franciscan Missionary Sisters for Africa and Theatre 20. Wilkinson and Karimloo brought down the house with a special curtain call duet of 'Bring Him Home.' The Iranian-born Karimloo, who grew up in Toronto, has idolized Wilkinson since he was 12 and saw him perform in the title role in The Phantom of the Opera in Toronto. Karimloo went on to star as the Phantom in London, and since this November, as Jean Valjean, in Cameron Mackintosh's new production of LES MISERABLES in Toronto, for which he has received unanimous acclaim. Last night, November 14, Second Stage opened its much-anticipated production of Little Miss Sunshine. This new musical comedy is based on the film of the same name by Michael Arndt. It was adapted for the stage by Tony Award-winning team James Lapine, who wrote the book, and William Finn, who wrote the lyrics and music. Little Miss Sunshine's run has now been extended through Dec 15. Superman will return to the stage in the upcoming New York City Center Encores! production of It's a Bird...It's a Plane...It's Superman. The production will feature Edward Watts in the title role with Jenny Powers as Lois Lane and David Pittu as the evil Dr. Sedgwick, along with Adam Monley, Alli Mauzey, James Saito and Will Swenson. Superman will play at City Center for seven performances, March 20 - 24, and will be directed by John Rando with choreography by Joshua Bergasse and music direction by Rob Berman. Today in 2011, Priscilla Queen of the Desert opened at the Palace Theatre, wehre it is still running (currently 415 performances). Priscilla, Queen of the Desert is a musical with a book by Australian film director-writer Stephan Elliott and Allan Scott, using well-known pop songs as its score. Adapted from Elliott's 1994 film The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, the musical tells the story of two drag queens and a transsexual, who contract to perform a drag show at a resort in Alice Springs, a resort town in the remote Australian desert. The original Broadway cast includes Will Swenson as Tick (Mitzi), Tony Sheldon, again, reprising his role of Bernadette, and Nick Adams as Adam (Felicia).
