Music Theatre Wichita continues its 2018 Season with a fresh take on the classic musical Guys and Dolls. The second of five locally produced Broadway-scale productions, Guys and Dolls plays June 27-July 1 at the Century II Concert Hall in downtown Wichita, KS.

Tony and Oscar winner Tony Walton is directing a production of My Fair Lady in Edmond, Oklahoma. The set and costume designer sat down for an interview with NewsOK.com to talk about his experience thus far.

As magical as the evening was, after Freddie Gershon gave an impassioned presentation to the duo, Harvey Schmidt and Tom Jones hit the stage and brought the house down at ages 88 and 89 respectively. They joined forces onstage to perform a song from their musical The Bone Room, described by Jones as being about 'the pleasures of dying and being embalmed in this great country of ours.' On last night's ABC special presentation of THE UNTOLD STORY OF THE SOUND OF MUSIC, stars Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer discussed their affection for each other on and off screen during the filming of the iconic musical.

Off-Broadway's award-winning Irish Repertory Theatre presents the world premiere production of the new musical TRANSPORT. With a book by world-renowned Australian author Thomas Keneally (Schindler's List, the acclaimed book on which the Oscar-winning film is based) and music and lyrics by Larry Kirwan (founder of the iconic New York City band Black 47), TRANSPORT follows the uneasy ocean voyage of Irish women who were sentenced and then exiled to the relatively uninhabited south coast of Australia in the mid-19th Century. She's been a Hollywood legend for decades, but now iconic actress Julie Andrews is taking her talents to a local theater in Connecticut, directing the musical, THE GREAT AMERICAN MOUSICAL based on one of her children's books. 'It's really an homage to the great Broadway musicals that we all know and love,' Andrews said this morning in an interview with 'Today' show reporter Erica Hall. Watch her appearance in full below!
