Boop-oop-a-doop! Animation icon Betty Boop is gearing up to hit the stage in a new musical adaptation from Tony Award®-winning director/choreographer Jerry Mitchell with celebrated multiple Grammy Award-winning composer David Foster, Tony Award-nominated lyricist Susan Birkenhead, and Tony Award-winning book writer Bob Martin. Go behind the scenes of the production in the new video teaser!

The musical new musical based on Betty Boop will feature music from David Foster, a book by Tony Award-winner Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone, The Prom) and lyrics by Susan Birkenhead (Jelly's Last Jam, High Society). Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell (Hairspray, Legally Blonde) will direct and choreograph.

Theater Latté Da is presenting JELLY'S LAST JAM, the story of self-proclaimed inventor of jazz, Jelly Roll Morton. The area premiere production features an all Twin Cities-based cast including Reese Britts as Jelly Roll Morton and Andre Shoals as The Chimney Man.

WORKING is the extraordinary genre-defining musical from Grammy and Academy Award-winner Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell) based on Studs Terkel's best-selling book of interviews with the American workforce: Working: People Talk About What They Do All Day and How They Feel About What They Do. The show has been adapted by Stephen Schwartz and Nina Faso, the creators of Godspell and Rags, with additional contributions by Gordon Greenberg.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Mira Nair's MONSOON WEDDING will be Broadway-bound following its run in San Francisco. Based on the iconic 2001 film, the stage musical had its world premiere at Berkeley Repertory Theatre on Friday, May 19th and where it will run through July 2nd.
