The 11th season of AMERICAN IDOL came to a sensational conclusion last night as Phillip Phillips was crowned the winner during the live two-hour season finale on FOX. Phillips, 21, from Leesburg, GA, received the most of America's world record-shattering 132 million votes - the highest number in the show's history.

Last night, the Top Four Finalists were revealed on AMERICAN IDOL - Hollie Cavanagh, Joshua Ledet, Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez.

Ryan announced that after 58 million votes had been counted, Elise, Hollie, and Skylar were in the bottom three, which meant that Jessica, Joshua, and Phillip were in the top three. Ryan quickly sent Skylar to safety, leaving Elise and Hollie in the bottom two. Then Elise was the last contestant standing.

On Thursday we found out that '80s night didn't turn out to be so awesome for DeAndre Brackensick, as the judges once again chose to not use their one save of the season on a contestant in jeopardy.

They just moved into the Hollywood Hills mansion, but one contestant is already moving out. Hollie Cavanagh, Skylar Laine, and Heejun Han found themselves in the bottom three on Thursday night, and Heejun was the last man standing.

Erika Van Pelt was eliminated last night on AMERICAN IDOL after she received the fewest votes among the finalists. After her final performance, the three judges declined the opportunity to use their 'save' to keep Van Pelt on the show.
