In honor of the show's eleventh anniversary of becoming part of Broadway's world, we're flashing back to its 2008 opening night at the Lunt Fontanne Theatre!

The Little Mermaid, based on the Disney film and the classic fairy tale by Hans Christian Anderson, opened on this day in 2008 at Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre.

The Secret Garden has book & lyrics by Marsha Norman, music by Lucy Simon, and is based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett. The production runs now through May 28, 2017 at the Stage Theatre at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. Stage Entertainment, in cooperation with Disney Theatrical Productions, will present the Dutch premiere of The Little Mermaid, which premiered on Broadway in 2007. After presenting Tarzan, Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King, the Netherlands is the first country to scoop the European premiere of the Disney musical. Yale Repertory Theatre's world premiere of the musical We Have Always Lived in the Castle, with book and lyrics by Adam Bock and music and lyrics by Todd Almond, based on the novel by Shirley Jackson, and directed by Anne Kauffman, opens on Thursday, September 23 at 8PM, and plays through October 9 only.
