RIVERDALE returned from its hiatus last night with the highly anticipated episode 'Chapter Thirty-One: A Night to Remember'. As previously reported, The CW's high school drama RIVERDALE will be staging a production of CARRIE: THE MUSICAL this spring. The show's resident bad girl Cheryl Blossom (played by Madelaine Petsch) will play Carrie White in the episode.

The musical is based on the Spider-Man comics created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, published by Marvel Comics, as well as the 2002 film about the character and the Greek myth of Arachne. lt tells the story of the origin of the character, his romance with Mary Jane and his battles with the evil Green Goblin.

Directed by Olivier Award winner Rupert Goold (King Charles III), AMERICAN PSYCHO has choreography by Tony Award nominee Lynne Page (La Cage Aux Folles).
