The Met celebrates the new year with a new production of Bizet's Carmen by acclaimed English director Carrie Cracknell, opening on Sunday, December 31, at 6:30PM. In her highly anticipated Met debut, Cracknell reinvigorates the classic story of deadly passion with a staging that moves the action to modern day and explores themes that could not be more relevant today: gendered violence, abusive labor structures, and the desire to break through societal boundaries.

The complete coast-to-coast tour route for the all-new production of The Wiz has been announced, in advance of its Broadway return in the Spring of 2024.

The teaser trailer has been released for the new film adaptation of Carmen, starring Melissa Barrera and Paul Mescal. Benjamin Millepied’s CARMEN is a gritty modern day tale, with a majestic score by Nicholas Britell, and dream-like dance sequences that evoke magic realism. The film also stars Rossy de Palma and THE DOC. Watch the new video teaser!

A behind-the-scenes trailer is released for Hampstead Theatre’s 60th anniversary production of The Dumb Waiter ahead of the theatre reopening on 3 December 2020.  The production will now run until 16 January 2021.
