BroadwayWorld has a first look at La Mirada's The Sound of Music starring Diane Phelan (Broadway: The King and I & South Pacific at Lincoln Center) as Maria, Christopher Carl (Broadway: South Pacific at Lincoln Center, Mamma Mia!) as Captain von Trapp, and Grammy nominee Suzanna Guzmán (The King and Iwith Yul Brynner, Bizet's Carmen) as Mother Abbess.

The third show in the 2019 season is the Broadway At Music Circus premiere of the award-winning musical comedy The Drowsy Chaperone is now on stage, starring writeractorcomedian Bruce Vilanch and featuring a cast of Broadway veterans. Following a critically acclaimed, sold out run of Singin' in the Rain, the 2018 Broadway At Music Circus season continues with Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, a show Broadway World called a 'daring, dazzling choreographic extravaganza.' With iconic choreography and a Tony®-nominated score, this rollicking musical based on the beloved MGM film features a crafty and assertive young bride living in the 1850s Oregon wilderness. She attempts to civilize and marry off her six rowdy brothers-in-law, but her plan goes comically wrong. Featuring high-kicking dance numbers, heartfelt romance and soaring songs. Performances of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers are Tuesday, June 26 through Sunday, July 1 at the Wells Fargo Pavilion.

The 2016 Music Circus season concludes with the Northern California premiere of a new musical from the mind of Victor Hugo, inspired by one of the most epic stories ever told: The Hunchback of Notre Dame. This daring production sets the classic tale of love, vengeance, and compassion to one of the most sweeping scores ever written for the stage. It's the only stage collaboration between two masters of American musical theatre, Alan Menken (Disney's The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast) and Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin). To round out its 65th season, Music Circus presents HAIR, the groundbreaking musical that defined a generation and introduced rock 'n' roll to Broadway. Set against a backdrop of the Vietnam era, a group of late 1960s youth join a social revolution and 'Let the Sun Shine In.' The hilarious musical La Cage aux Folles, featuring the bawdy humor of Harvey Fierstein and the melodic genius ofJerry Herman, is the final show in the 2014 Music Circus season at the Wells Fargo Pavilion, the 64th season for the venerable Sacramento institution. Show Boat, the American musical masterpiece with a grand score by Oscar Hammerstein and Jerome Kern that includes the classic songs 'Ol' Man River' and 'Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man,' is now playing at the Wells Fargo Pavilion through July 14. Generally considered America's first true musical, the show has not been at Music Circus in 12 years, and this is its first time at the Wells Fargo Pavilion.
