THE GREEN ROOM 42 a?" Broadway's newest intimate concert venue a?" will present Annie Sherman performing a?oePiaf Livesa?? on Wednesday, August 7 at 7:00 PM. Sherman, known for The King & I and Sound of Music national tours, Ragtime on Ellis Island, and Macbeth at Los Angeles Opera, brings you her original and innovative translations of Edith Piaf songs as never before heard in English. This evening celebrating the scandalous and tragic life of Edith Piaf includes hits like a?oePadam,a?? a?oeMilord,a?? and a?oeLa Vie en Rose.a?? 

Second Stage Theater will soon present the New York Premiere of Tracy Letts' acclaimed play, Mary Page Marlowe, directed by Lila Neugebauer. David Aaron Baker and Nick Dillenburg will complete the cast featuring Blair Brown, Kayli Carter, Audrey Corsa, Marcia DeBonis, Ryan Foust, Tess Frazer, Emma Geer, Grace Gummer, Mia Sinclair Jenness, Brian Kerwin, Tatiana Maslany, Kellie Overbey, Susan Pourfar, Maria Elena Ramirez, Elliot Villar, and Gary Wilmes.

"Appropriate," the 2014 Obie Award winner for Best New American Play, will be staged at Westport Country Playhouse, from August 15 through September 2. The story of family secrets is written by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, 2016 MacArthur Genius Grant Recipient, and directed by David Kennedy, Playhouse associate artistic director.

BroadwayWorld brings you a first look at highlights of a new reimaged EVITA at Serenbe Playhouse. The Playhouse will make the leap from the brutal, humid streets of New Orleans to the lush and rebellious countryside of Argentina with their audacious retelling of the country of Argentina's most infamous political figure. Since the bulk of the play is set in the rural countryside of Argentina, the play will be brought to life in the fresh rolling hills of Serenbe. There, Serenbe Playhouse's beloved Randi Garza will make the famed ascent of Eva. Eventually, at her side in her famed balcony will be world-renowned Argentinian tango and opera singer Cesar Restrepo as Juan Peron. Steaming things up in the background with his talk of revolution will be Broadway's Charlie Brady as Che Guevera. Check out a first look below!
